CSUB Packs 2025 Fall Season With Themed Nights and Fan Giveaways

Getting fans hyped isn’t an afterthought at California State University, Bakersfield—it's the plan. The CSUB Athletics department just dropped its 2025 fall promotions schedule, and it’s stacked with nine themed events across men's soccer, women's soccer, and volleyball home games. Each game isn’t just a contest on the court or field; it’s a celebration with a twist, spotlighting community causes, pop-culture themes, and hands-on fan involvement.

If you’re the type who circles game days on the calendar for more than just the scoreboard, this schedule has you covered from late August through early November. The fun kicks off right out of the gate on August 29, when men’s soccer faces San Jose State at 7:00 PM. The opening-night punch? Everybody in attendance gets thundersticks, stirring up that game-night energy loud and early.

A few days later, women’s soccer goes head-to-head with Fresno State on September 4 at 7:00 PM. This one’s dubbed "Rally for the Valley," aiming to unite the local crowd and reinforce that Bakersfield pride. Then, on September 17, you’ll find a more thoughtful atmosphere at the men’s soccer clash against Santa Clara. Not only is admission free, but the evening shines a light on behavioral health awareness, mixing fun and education in a way that feels meaningful, not forced.

  • CSUB Athletics isn’t stopping at soccer. Volleyball rolls out its own pink carpet on October 2 for the Big West Opener against CSUN. Expect pink wristbands at the door and a Pink Night focus, spotlighting cancer awareness and connecting with fans through purpose and solidarity.
  • October keeps fans busy. On the 15th, Viva Los `Runners Night arrives at the men’s soccer match versus UC Davis, with exclusive sticker giveaways. October 23 is Volleyball Pride Night, featuring wristbands to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, showing that inclusivity is more than just a slogan for CSUB.
  • Halloween vibes take over at the end of the month: October 30 sees women’s soccer host Cal State Fullerton with Youth Night and Kick or Treat, encouraging kids to get in on the fun. Just a day later, on October 31, volleyball welcomes trick-or-treaters at their game against Cal Poly, perfect for the holiday’s festive spirit.
  • The season wraps up with a double-punch: November 1 brings Senior Night to men’s soccer against Cal Poly, where fans score exclusive scarves to send graduating players off in style.

This promotions slate shows CSUB taking fan engagement seriously. Giveaways scattered throughout the season make attending games feel more like an event than a routine stop. Young fans get space to shine, local pride gets a stage, and causes—from health awareness to inclusion—get woven seamlessly into the game-night vibe.

By mixing free admission nights, collectible handouts, and nights built around sharing community spirit—like Pink Night or Pride Night—CSUB Athletics is reaching beyond die-hard sports fans. It’s about making everybody feel like the next home game is the one they don’t want to miss, whether they're drawn in by soccer, volleyball, or a cause that hits close to home.

If you want this fall’s game days marked by a little extra excitement, keep an eye on the calendar—or your inbox. There’s a themed night for almost everyone, and CSUB is making sure those stands are filled with more than just spectators—they’re full of active, engaged fans.
