March-April
A HARD SEASON AHEAD
Firstly we have been contacted by a number of marshals regarding training, everything was in place to run a training day at Olivers Mount, as in the past, during April, this idea has now been scrapped as Richard looks like pulling off a training day on Saturday 19th March at Cadwell Park, subject to contract. We have included the training day in the availability slip at the bottom of this page. Only marshals who indicate their interest will be contacted with final instructions, The event will be a full ACU permitted event.
Whilst on the subject of the return slip, you will notice that we have not included Elvington Sunday 6th March, which is the 1st round of the road race championships, this is due to the lateness of the newsletter, which was held up for information on the training day that we still have not received.
Signing on times
Elvington 6th March – Officials and Scrutineers 8.15am Track Marshals no later than 9.30am
Cadwell 20th March - Officials and Scrutineers 7.30am Track Marshals no later than 8.15am
Elvington 3rd April - Instructions as per 6th March
Olivers Mount 17th April – Paddock Staff & Officials no later than 7.30am – Officials who are required will be sent vehicle passes in due course to gain entrance to the paddock area.
All other marshals must enter by the public entrance and sign on at this point no later than 8.00am
(practice commences at 8.30am prompt)
Scarborough Festival of Speed – 30th April/1st May – Paddock staff and Officials to sign on at the paddock office no later than 8.00am. All other marshals must enter by the Mere entrance to the paddock, drive straight through paddock B and park after the hillclimb start where you can park on the hard standing on the right at the back of the medical centre (not on the grass) to sign on at the marshals cabin no later than 8.30am.
The signing on times for future Elvington and Cadwell events will be the same as above, Mallory Park on 22nd May will be the same as a Cadwell meeting.
We have been asked by circuit owners not to arrive before 6.00pm the day before as this will cause
congestion for the people leaving Saturday’s events.
